I had an enjoyable morning with friends. We met at one of their homes and took about an hour walk through some residential developments until we ended up at a local coffee shop. This is a delightful establishment owned by a married couple who had to relocate after Hurricane Katrina. Their shop has a Mardi Gras theme and the food is quite good. We had some bagels/muffins and iced coffees, along with some great conversation. Then we walked back.
It is so nice to be outdoors again, after a particularly rough winter. And the bonus in the spring is the lack of humidity, bugs and yellow jackets. I'm looking forward to more outings like this over the next month!
