In the continuing saga of my phone issues, my cordless home phone battery died on me recently. While at the mall, I decided to stop in at Radio Shack for a new phone battery. I had the AT&T battery number, as well as the phone's model number. How complicated could this be?
After being greeted by the middle aged employee, I asked if she could help me locate the correct Radio Shack battery to replace my AT&T one. She stepped behind her desk and spent about 5 minutes searching and searching the Radio Shack inventory files, looking for the battery I would need. Finally, she said, "there is no listing for the AT&T battery number that you gave me. I'm sorry, but we don't carry that sort of battery."
Later that day, I decided to check out the Radio Shack website from home. In approximately 10 seconds, I located the AT&T battery number and comparable Radio Shack battery replacement. I must be a computer dynamo!
