So, I get my AT&T bill today and notice that my internet price went up $5 per month. You know, I don't appreciate the way the utitilities do a rate hike without any prior notice. I phoned to complain (as is my reputation), and the customer service person tried to tell me that it was posted on the "news you can use" on my last bill. Since I had my last bill in front of me, I informed her that no, there is no mention of this on my last bill. She apologized and gave me a $5 credit. Thanks a million lady. I'm just tired of being screwed by these companies who think they can raise prices because most people don't pay that much attention to their bills. And I love the way, at the end of the call, she started in on the speech about "let me tell you about other services that can save you money." Exactly how is it saving me money to raise my rates? I told her I had no interest in any other AT&T services and that I would be looking into other options for my local, long distance and ISP. And I hope my phone call was recorded!
