We are being bombarded by half page newspaper ads, flyers in the water/sewer bills, and now yard signs??
'Because Dogs Can't Flush, Remember to P.U.P.!'
Is it that big of a problem? Maybe people can pile up their little bags of doggy doo-doo under all the upcoming election signs. The candidates stink anyway!
Really? Cleveland should go to Italy. There is more dog poop on the ground per capita than anywhere else I've been. Particularly in Venice, and they have no green space so the poop is right there on the sidewalk. No one picks up a damn thing there.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the streets being notably poopy the last time I was in Cleveland. . .
ReplyDeleteBut I did have a neighbor once whose dog chose our front yard for his own personal litter-box. After speaking with her about it a couple times, I just started picking it up myself and leaving it on her porch. . .
Well, who knew Cleveland had such problems with poop?
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I live in the country- no picking up the poop from the pastures for me!
Russ - Doesn't Venice care that their canals may be full of poo?
ReplyDeleteCraig - The campaign is aimed at us suburbanites, I'm certain. And Husband has been known to put neighbor's trash into their mailboxes.
Sailor - Does that mean you have your own well and water softener?
Is that supposed to be a whimsical tear drop next to the puppy? Or is something far more sinister and/or things that start with the letter 'S'?
ReplyDeleteFADKOG - LOL....I didn't even think of that! No, it's supposed to be a water drop and a reminder that if we want to continue having clean city water, we'd better P.U.P. or else!

ReplyDeleteMaybe they should try turning it into electricity.
ReplyDeleteHear, hear. I'm all for that as well...
ReplyDeleteWorried - I am worried when we start getting ideas on cleanliness from places like India.
ReplyDeleteMike - I'm wondering if the people who need the signs can actually read!
LOVE your idea for editorializing!
ReplyDeleteIf it's a choice between a politician's mug or a PUP sign, I know which I'd prefer in the neighborhood. At least you can quickly get rid of the poop when it starts to stink.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me that's a drop of water hugging the dog in the sign.
ReplyDeleteLime - Thank you! I have a particular hatred towards politicians of any party!
ReplyDeleteNick - True dat!
Agent - No fears, it is a water droplet.
awwwww. isn't that cute
ReplyDeletePUP =pick up poop
so freakin witty of them
JK - I suppose it was the marketing genius of some Ivy Leaguer!
ReplyDeleteHaving just visited DC I can verify that yes, this is apparently an epidemic of epic proportions.
ReplyDeleteSeriously people?
LOL -- more crazy signs from your neighborhood. At least they aren't in Comic Sans! ;)
