A friend of mine went to China this summer to visit her son, who was an exchange student for the past year. Although many of the sights were lovely, I think she enjoyed the signs posted at the tourist attractions more than anything. That and her son towering over his host family, literally. He looked rather goofy in the photos, and he's probably only about 6'1". But here are the signs:
Ice cream not included!

Actually, if it's not located along a stairwell, I'm not sure I do know the function.
I'm wondering if this has encouraged any hanky panky on their grounds?
If you want to rely on engineering, go to Germany!
This is just too vague for me.

Funneh!
ReplyDeleteWell, dang it! I love to go around committing nuisances. . .
ReplyDeleteOMG, this is HILARIOUS!
ReplyDeleteThese signs read like a fortune cookie - HA!
I lived in Asia for two months (Japan)and it's the only place I've ever been where the people arecactually shorter than me - and I'm short.
Have a great day, my friend!

That is what happens when you hire cheap, non-native translators...
Thanks to your friend for sharing. I enjoyed it!!

ReplyDeleteSWEET!! Even in China they know about me!!
ReplyDeleteDad said I'd be famous some day ...
What fun would my life be if I committed no nuisance?
ReplyDeleteIf people get to the yellow sign and still do not yet know the function of a banister from the warning given them on the green sign, then I don't think there's a sign that can be worded in any manner that they'd understand! :)
ReplyDeletethese are fabulous!!
ReplyDeletethe lawn sign is so sweet
