WTF Wednesday Classics

Lots of cars slowing for this one! Many years ago, there was a local community famous for its ethnicity and the plastic pink flamingos that people used as decoration in their landscaping. Hanging a giant stuffed flamingo on the telephone pole in front of your house must be a new take on an old classic.

What can one really say about this?  Keepin' it classy in the burbs?  I sent the picture to one of my teacher friends and told her I spotted this in the teacher lot up at the high school.  Unfortunately, she didn't buy it.

  1. Hi Bij,

I think that the first one is very cute! I remember when it was all the craze to have cement pink Flamingos in yards(my folks had one or two.
The second is good for a chuckle in passing but I don't know if I would want to ride in that one!! That's not a shy man, for sure...

    Have a great day :)

    1. I have never seen a cement flamingo! People here stick with religious statues, which I find creepy.

  2. I've always gotten a chuckle from the fake arms that people stick in their trunk lids. . .

    1. With the recent kidnapping of women here, that would be a very bad idea.

Bwhahahahhahahahaha! OMG, when I saw that second photo I had just taken a sip of my morning coffee and SPEWED!! That is HILARIOUS!!! I have never seen anything like that before! What a brilliant photo capture!!!

Yes, being someone who has lived in Florida, I would see pink flamingos on the front yard of MANY homes. However, never an inflatable one.

Faaaaabulous post!!! Thanks for the great morning laughs!!!

    1. Glad I made you laugh, Ron! I was so glad the truck was parked because I would never have gotten a good capture of those balls while driving! Lol

  4. Love it! You should check out my friend Kim's blog ... she has lots of posts on the truck balls phenomenon. It seems like you get pair with every truck purchase in Texas. ;)

  5. the big stuffed flamingo is pretty funny. the truck nutz.....lordy, i think you have to be so seriously insecure in your masculinity if you have to dangle a pair from your truck.

    1. Plus the fact that they seem like really small balls on a truck that size! Hahaha

  6. A good job the flamingo's tied to the pole and unable to run around scaring the whole neighbourhood.

The second photo just reminds me how hideous those things are. Not exactly the Supreme Being's finest achievement. I can't imagine why anyone would want a pair dangling from their truck.

    1. Yes, I love the way the flamingo was securely tied to the pole! I really wonder WHY it was put there.

  7. Boy, I hope no drunken hunters see that flamingo on a dark night. Things could get pretty serious.

I don't know about that car being classy, but it sure is ballsy.

    1. I'm curious as to what statement a person is trying to make ........ "I've got big balls" or "My truck has balls!"
