Lap of Luxury

One more post about my trip . . . just some photos of the fabulousness of it all . . .

Entrance to our hotel

Looking out, away from the entrance, one evening.

 Fountain in the front

One of the six pool areas. Yup, no words.

As you enter the lobby area. The ceilings in every area of the hotel were masterpieces.

Nothing like a little floral display to remind you that you are no longer in the tundra.

One of the many ballrooms where I pretended to be a Princess.

This corridor had what I would call the best décor I've ever seen in my life. Yes, that's a bride getting photos.

We sat here wishing this was our living room.

We spent a few nights in this lounge. I had champagne cocktails and my husband had mojito royales.

We also enjoyed the seafood bar, with two live aquariums for your drinks.

On the last night, we had an unbelievable four course meal that started with a lobster tail over risotto and ended with this exotic tropical parfait with lychee caviar. Note: I stole this photo from another blog - can you believe I found it?

On our final morning, we decided to skip the breakfast outdoors and instead dine in their famous circle room. Again, with the ceiling.

Then before taking the shuttle back to the airport, we strolled along the long row of palm trees out front, squeezing every last minute of sunshine out of the trip that we could. This trip was truly one of the happiest weeks of our lives together.

  1. Wow, six pools! Beautiful place though. I think I could be tempted to stay the whole week there and not go sight seeing! Glad it was a nice time for you and your hubby; hoping for many more such like this in years ahead!

  2. " just some photos of the fabulousness of it all . . ."

Yes, and I can tell just from these BEAUTIFUL photographs how faaaaabulous it was!

That first shot of the entrance to your hotel is STUNNING! And WOW...what a gorgeous view of the pool area! I'm not exactly sure what hotel that was, but it looks so familiar to me. Incredible interior shots! Love the pic of the bride.

That last photo (of the palm tree lined walk) reminds me of the Boca Raton Hotel and Club on Palmetto Drive.

"This trip was truly one of the happiest weeks of our lives together."

And I can definitely see WHY! Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us, my friend. Thoroughly enjoyed! Made me miss Florida!

    1. It's The Breakers. It's hard to say which was more beautiful - the inside or the outside.

  3. Wow, never been in a hotel like that. Could spend all day just there. 6 pools is a bit excessive haha did you jump in every one?

    1. I stuck to the adult pools, but I'm really not much of a swimmer.

  4. Serious opulence, right there. . .

I'm not sure I'd even know what to do with a place like that. . .

  6. Wow, I've never stayed in a hotel anything like as swanky. I think I would feel like royalty just walking through it! It must have cost a fortune - or was there a special deal?

    1. It wasn't cheap, but then again, even a Hampton is now $200 with tax.

    1. I got a kick out go the lychee caviar! We'd also had creamy polenta with a braised BBQ shredded beef over top, served in a martini glass. Sooooo good!

  12. Beautiful!!! When I think of vacation, I always think about that moment in the early evening, after you've been on the go all day (swimming, sightseeing, etc) but before dinner...where you relax with a drink or just relax! That's my favorite part, I think.
